This past weekend, superduo Kx5 which is a collaboration between two legends in their own rights, deadmau5 and Kaskade, released their BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix.
The 2-hour long mix was the first time the two played a set together under their Kx5 project.
In the past year since the two officially announced this project, they have released a number of singles, including the latest one ‘Sacrifice’ with Sofi Tukker which released just this week, dropped a remix EP and also played a record breaking show at the LA Memorial Coliseum among more. In addition to all of that, they have also announced a new album is on the way this March.
Listen to ‘Sacrifice’ which Sofi Tukker which the duo described to EDM.com in a statement as one of the favorite songs they have written, “ in part because it comes from such an honest and real place.” They went on to share that “ It’s not the style of song we usually create, which tends to be more fun and light. So collabing with deadmau5 and Kaskade for their Kx5 project felt like the perfect fit. They bring it into this dark techno world which amplifies the drama while making you dance.”
