Sonny, popularly known as Skrillex recently sat down for a radio interview with Shoboy on New York’s AMP 92.3 radio station. The producer spoke on the topics of his new track with Diplo, Deadmau5 and his trolling, Justin Bieber’s genius and a little bit about the Meek Mill and Drake beef as well.
Skrillex started off by unveiling that he was working on a new Jack Ü single with Aluna George just before the interview began. Skrillex also unveiled he is working on the new Justin Bieber album and that they’re making ‘great songs’.
Moving on Skrillex spoke of how talented the Biebs is saying, “he’s the most talented, gifted kid I’ve ever seen.” And that he almost beat Skriloo at the game of SKATE, calling Justin one of the most competitive people he’s met.
Talking of Deadmau’s edit of Jack Ü’s ‘Where Are Ü Now’ Skrillex did jokingly mention how he loved the track but also mentioned, “I’ll always have love for Joel, but he’s an asshole and everyone knows that. And he knows that and that’s kinda his thing.”
He also went on to comment on how Joel’s attitude has changed over time and that he feels ‘less connected’ to Deadmau5’ music because of his overshadowing antics and behaviour.
This pushed the topic of Meek Mill vs Drake though Sonny mentioned, “I’m not trying to take any sides… But Drake was just so nonchalant about it.”
