‘There’s no place like home’, we reminisced as we walked passed the gates, with our festival essentials intact. Vh1 Supersonic had a new home but the unparalleled zeal from fans and organizers alike, had us wide eyed and brimming with excitement.

Having switched base from Goa to Pune, from the gorgeous backdrop of Candolim beach to the lush Laxmi Lawns, the vibe remained the same. The lineup was on point, with a little something for every genre in the dance music spectrum and most importantly some the highlights that included Eric Prydz and Mackelmore who set foot on Indian shores for the first time ever. Being a team of varied musical preferences we ventured out to our stage of choice to witness what we’ve been waiting for so long, a musical extravaganza!

Eric Prydz’ India debut – we witnessed history!

The venue was easily accessible and full marks to the organizers for handling customer queries and grievances meticulously. As we walked passed the beautiful flea market, buzzing with enthusiastic festival goers, brimming with energy, we made our way onto the Sonic Realm Stage!

The spectrum stage on the other hand boasted of a lineup that was every techno lover’s wet dream, while legend DJ Marky lit up the festival at the Labortoire stage on the close. Special mention to Joris Voorn for throwing down like never before and entertaining fans with his unique brand of techno!

In conclusion, the festival did everything right, according to us and the fantastic planning and organisation helped make the experience much more enjoyable and hassle free. For some, it was a once in a lifetime global journey, meant to be cherished forever, with the energy, the music, the vibe and more importantly the people who came together as one. Until next time.
