Cambio Sun Return With ‘Maiden Voyage’

Maiden Voyage’ sees Cambio Sun at their experimental best, pushing their progressive, immersive sound into previously untouched areas, switching directions with free unpredictability.

The duo’s dark, moody, off-kilter sound sits comfortably as a hybrid between Pink Floyd, James Blake, Tears For Fears and Alt-J, with layers building to a remarkable wall of crescendo.

Following on from Cambio’s first composition ‘Intuition’ in 2013, which created a small storm on Majestic Casual and gaining over 400K plays, the band followed up the online success of Intuition with six-track experimental EP ‘Retisent’, a glitchy falsetto take on alternative electronic soundscapes, drawing comparisons to Shlohmo, Ben Khan, Bon Iver and Four Tet, with stunning track ‘Mad As they Come’ picking up over 410k SoundCloud streams.

The boys have just started a monthly residency at The Waiting Room in Stoke Newington, for their own night ‘Manyana’ so will send across the date for the May show as soon as it’s announced.
