DJ/producer Matthew Hanau and MC/producer Black Dragon have known each other since childhood, and were already addicted to bass music by the time they hit middle school!
By the middle of 2019 they had amassed an impressive back catalogue on Spotify and heard their music rock the crowd at Lost Lands.
But creating popular music is not enough for Matrix 808; they want to innovate and to find new ways forward for bass music. In winter 2019 they pulled their entire catalogue from Spotify and decided to start from scratch. From now on they would be more innovative, more daring, more adventurous. Matrix 808 is bass music for the future.
The potential of this exciting new duo really is incredible, and it surely won’t be long before they are taking over the scene and being mentioned in the same breath as artists such as Zomboy and Kompany.
