PlayStation Plus Free Games for April 2025 Revealed
PlayStation Plus subscribers are in for an exciting month with three new games joining the Essential tier lineup on April 1. RoboCop: Rogue City, The Texas Chain Saw Massacre, and Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth – Hacker’s Memory will be available to claim until May 5, offering a diverse mix of sci-fi action, horror survival, and classic RPG gameplay. While these titles may not be the biggest AAA releases, they each bring a unique experience tied to popular franchises, making April’s selection a solid offering for fans of different genres.
RoboCop: Rogue City lets players step into the role of Alex Murphy, better known as RoboCop, in a first-person shooter set between the events of RoboCop 2 and RoboCop 3. With Peter Weller reprising his iconic role, the game delivers intense action and storytelling that remains true to the beloved 80s sci-fi classic. The Texas Chain Saw Massacre, an asymmetrical horror multiplayer game, serves as a prequel to the 1974 slasher film. Players can take on the role of either the survivors trying to escape or Leatherface and his twisted family hunting them down in a terrifying co-op experience. Rounding out the lineup, Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth – Hacker’s Memory is the sixth entry in the Digimon Story series. This turn-based RPG expands on the Cyber Sleuth universe with deeper mechanics, new characters, and digital battles that Digimon fans will appreciate.
Sony has yet to announce the PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium tier additions, but updates are expected to arrive on April 9 or April 16. These games typically become available a week later, adding even more options for higher-tier subscribers. March’s lineup included Dragon Age: The Veilguard, so April could bring another major surprise for players. PlayStation Blog will provide official details when the new games are confirmed.
Subscribers can claim RoboCop: Rogue City, The Texas Chain Saw Massacre, and Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth – Hacker’s Memory from April 1 to May 5 through the PlayStation Store. Once redeemed, the games remain accessible as long as the user maintains an active PS Plus subscription.
April’s PlayStation Plus lineup may not feature massive blockbusters, but it delivers a solid mix of action, horror, and RPG gameplay. Whether players are looking for nostalgic sci-fi combat, intense multiplayer horror, or an engaging RPG adventure, there is something worth downloading this month.
