Wuchang: Fallen Feathers is officially set to release on July 24, 2025. Developer Lenzee Games and publisher 505 Games announced the upcoming fantasy-RPG will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC, and day one on Xbox Game Pass.
Set in the dying days of the Ming Dynasty, Wuchang: Fallen Feathers casts players as Wuchang, a pirate warrior cursed with a mysterious disease known as the Feathering. This affliction transforms her body in strange and powerful ways as she journeys across forgotten temples, cursed villages, and mist-shrouded ruins. The goal? Uncover ancient secrets, battle monstrous enemies, and absorb the powers of fallen bosses to forge a legend born from shadow and flame.
The game promises a rich, dark atmosphere, heavy exploration, and Soulslike precision combat. 505 Games also released a new gameplay trailer showcasing the “Bride” boss battle, a cinematic clash filled with brutal attacks, corrupted visuals, and a strong focus on player timing and skill. The footage hints at an experience that rewards patience, positioning, and mastery of the game’s evolving combat systems.
Pre-orders are now live across all platforms, with two editions available:
- Standard Edition ($44.99)
Includes the Night Spectre Enhanced Costume Set, White Spectre Enhanced Costume Set, Vermillion War Club (Axe), and one Skill Upgrade Item. - Deluxe Edition ($49.99)
Includes everything in the Standard Edition, plus two Enhanced Costume Sets, four additional costumes, five weapons, and two Skill Upgrade Items.
Players who pre-order will get immediate access to these bonus items at launch, giving a head start in customization and early-game progression.
Wuchang: Fallen Feathers has been drawing comparisons to action RPG classics like Sekiro and Bloodborne, but it aims to set itself apart with a strong historical fantasy theme and a focus on Chinese mythology and folklore. The disease mechanic also adds a twist to progression, offering players new powers as Wuchang’s physical form continues to evolve through her journey.
The choice to launch on Xbox Game Pass signals 505 Games’ confidence in Wuchang reaching a wide audience, allowing millions of players to try it without an upfront purchase.
With high-end visuals, deep lore, and an accessible price point, Wuchang: Fallen Feathers is shaping up to be one of the must-watch RPG releases of 2025. Pre-order it here!
