Born in the Philippines but based out of Washington, DC, Manila Killa is a 22 year old music obsessive & producer who exemplifies the DIY mindset that has accompanied the digital age.

What started as a hobby of self-taught Ableton lessons and sharing remixes on SoundCloud has blossomed into a full-fledged career earning him millions of streams online, international festival billings, major press coverage, and co-signs from EDM’s most prominent superstars.

In his two years as an artist, Manila Killa has left a unique sonic footprint that reflects the times. Informed by a diverse selection of genres ranging from Jersey Club to synthpop, his music blends the high-energy tension and release format of EDM with lush, summery arrangements that elicit joy and pack a punch in equal doses. His work as a producer has resulted in multiple Hype Machine #1 tracks, official remixes for the likes of Tegan & Sara and The M Machine, and even spawned two other projects – Moving Castle and Hotel Garuda.

Although known for his numerous side projects and collaborations, “All That’s Left” is Manila Killa’s first official single as a solo artist. Accompanying him is Joni Fatora, a folk singer-songwriter who previously made inroads to the dance music scene through her collaboration with DC duo SoySauce.

For his debut song, Manila Killa has partnered with burgeoning Los Angeles label Next Wave Records to release “All That’s Left.” Next Wave previously commissioned him to remix Bearson’s single “Pink Medicine” and the two have remained close associates ever since.

“All That’s Left” is set for release on Next Wave on Friday, January 15th.
