The Electronic Music Awards or EDMA’s as they have been called, are returning to Miami on Day 1 of Ultra Music Festival and will take place on March 24, 2023.
While you may think of a black tie affair when you think of an award show, the EDMA’s are hosting a luxurious, “V.I.P.” pool party taking place on day one of Ultra Music Festival (UMF) at the legendary Fontainebleau Miami Beach Hotel in Miami, Florida, on Friday, March 24th, 2023, from 12:00pm to 7:00pm EST.
Just like the DJ Mag Top 100, the EDMA’s are also fan-powered. Voting is done by individual categories on the website. Some of the categories include Dance song of the year, Artist of the year Male and Female, Best collaboration and more.
Set to be hosted by iHeartRadio’s Sean “Hollywood” Hamilton, the event will be invitation only, with a limited number of tickets which will be awarded to contest-winners. While industry attendees or performers haven’t been announced yet, as per the press release, guest and performers at the past years events include Afrojack, Armin van Buuren, David Guetta, Diplo, Marshmello, Martin Garrix, Skrillex, The Chainsmokers, and many others.
Speaking about the event, the executive producer and host Sean “Hollywood” Hamilton said, “We are so hyped to return to Miami for the 2023 EDMA’s! The unwavering support and energy from fans around the world make this event truly special. We’re so excited to see who the fans vote on as this year’s winners!”
