Coldplay has close to 26 million subscribers on their official YouTube channel, but the channel is not exactly active when compared to the band’s Instagram account which has always been updated since the “Music of the Spheres” world Tour commenced.

Recently, while walking the streets of YouTube, we found out that Coldplay updated the “Music of the Spheres album” that they posted on YouTube 2 years ago.

The “Music of the Spheres” album is the British band’s 9th studio album, which the “Music of the Spheres” world tour is based upon.

Coldplay had a total of 12 songs in that album but with more than 28 songs in the setlist of the tour, adding that the band included some songs like “Something Just Like This,” from their previous albums to steam up the setlist.

The “Music of the Spheres” world tour will resume on the 19th of January this year, with the first show being in Philippine Arena, Bocaue, located in the Philippines. Along the line, the tour will go back to Europe since the band announced additional dates there.

While we wait for the 2024 leg to begin, you can avoid getting disappointed with the case of ticket unavailability and can get Coldplay 2024 tour tickets at your own time, via a credible tickets marketplace even before the tour reaches your location.

Guess How Many Times, “Music of the Spheres” Album Has Been Viewed On YouTube

Coldplay fans have a way of selecting their favorite out of Coldplay’s album track listing. To an extent, we feel Coldplay also uses their fans’ engagement in arranging the songs in their setlist, and also select which one they perform first to the crowd, while on the concert grounds.

For instance, going through the “Music of the Spheres” album that Coldplay posted on their YouTube Channel 2 years ago, we find that some songs like, “Biutyful,” “My Universe,” and “Higher Power” have been viewed more than other songs in the album.

This just goes on to show how much viewers prefer certain songs on the same album, compared to others.

“My Universe”

“My Universe” is a song written by Coldplay and others. It was released on the 24th of September 2021, before the release of the “Music of the Spheres” album, which it belongs to.

The song features one of the most popular South Korean Boy Bands that was formed in 2010, known as BTS. The two bands collaborated to create a musical art that has been celebrated globally.

“My Universe” has been viewed more than 292 million times on YouTube. That is more than all the views of the other songs in the same album combined. This raised a question, why?

The production of “My Universe” is one thing that makes it loved by the word. For instance, the production team went the extra mile to create a wonder in the music video that the world has never seen before.

The “My Universe” video created the type of experience seen only in Sci-Fi movies. 3 bands; Coldplay, BTS, and a non-existing one yet, Supernova 7, were connected by a DJ, known as DJ Lafrique while on her Alien ship.

Since music was banned all over the galaxy, “My Universe” also represents the fight for “freedom of expression” by the band, which is one thing the whole world currently has in common.

Music video aside, the real magic happened when it was time for Coldplay to give a live performance of “My Universe.” They made holographic images of BTS appear with them on stage, just like in the music video with a synchronized performance making it a realistic experience for the fans present.

Imagine seeing the same Sci-Fi scene from a music video happen in real life, you would freak out, right? That’s one of the reasons Coldplay will go over history as one of the greatest to exist.

“Higher Power”

“Higher Power” was also viewed more than 67 million times. Is this a coincidence? No, not at all. It is a deserving view, and here is why.

Upon its release, “Higher Power” topped the charts all over the world. Reaching No.1 and staying there for a whole week in Belgium and the Czech Republic. The song also remained in the top 50 of more than 5 countries by the end of the year, solidifying the fact that it was loved by everyone.

The meaning of the song also contributes to why it is loved this much. During an interview with BBC, Chris Martin, the lead vocalist of Coldplay said, “The song is about trying to find the astronaut in all of us, the person that can do amazing things.”

Chris Martin also spoke on how he got the idea to form the song. He said. “I came up with the title first but struggled to find the melody and lyrics to go with it. Then one day I was staying in this place and the sink was very resonant. And so I started hitting the sink [to make] this beat… and then I went to the piano keyboard, and the song just landed in one go.”

“Higher Power” fits perfectly in the “Music of the Spheres” album because, Chris Martin said before the recording of the song, he and the band, Coldplay, have been trying to imagine what music will sound like on other planets.

Chris said, “We’ve been trying to imagine what music might sound like on other planets, and try to imagine being those other acts, so we’re not thinking of ourselves as being the band Coldplay from England.”

Even though “Higher Power” is not viewed as much as “My Universe,” the number of views it has, shows that it is one of the most appreciated songs from Coldplay’s 9th Studio album, “Music of the Spheres.”

“Biutyful”

Unlike other songs in the “Music of the Spheres” album posted on Coldplay’s YouTube 2 years ago, “Biutyful” was posted 1 year ago, which means it joined the list 1 year after all others were posted. Yet somehow, it has managed to gather more views than many others posted 2 years ago.

“Biutyful” has more than 18 million views on YouTube. The music video features signs that say, “Humans Only” as though giving the human race a peek into the future.

The video was made possible with the help of a “Puppet Band” known as “The Weirdos.” The first character shown was a puppet who was canceling the signs that read, “Humans Only,” passing the same message yet again, like “My Universe.”

The song generally tells the story of how “Weirdos” were rejected in the human community. And how they worked hard to be accepted, despite getting the same rejection from humans. Most of the public buildings had “Humans Only” signs at the entrance, making life hard for the “Weirdos.”

Eventually, the “Weirdos” got their community, and started to invite other “Weirdos” through signs on the walls which read, “R U Weird?”
One of the puppet stars, Angel Moon, a singer, eventually saw the wall sign, and followed the map to find her fellow, “Weirdos.” Together, they formed a band called, “Weirdos” which became the most popular band on earth, according to the music video.

If there’s one thing to take away from the “Music of the Spheres” album and tour, it is the fact that Coldplay fought against so many irregularities in the world. That is aside from fighting against the careless emission of H20 which is detrimental to the health of the earth.
