El Pablo and Rhymestar join forces for the brand new single ‘Hell & Back’ dropped on Bruised Records, another offering in a string of releases which has seen the imprint rise from strength to strength.
Continuing a stacked release schedule, the emerging powerhouse is following on from their ‘Erase You’ remix package through the heavyweight sounds of ‘Hell & Back’. Alongside grinding bass riffs and its pounding drums, Rhymestar lyricism growls through to its bassline and it’s another superb offering from the imprint.
A name which already stands as a formidable presence in its own right, providing vocals alongside headliners such as Matrix & Futurebound, we’ve invited Rhymestar to take us through the ten tracks he currently has in his Spotify playlists. Check out his selections below, and be sure to grab a copy of the brand new single ‘Hell & Back’ here.
Rhymestar & El Pablo – Hell & Back
Hard edged, DnB dancefloor banger. The lyrics express the feelings and energies related to going through ‘Hell & Back,’ and coming out stronger, which I am sure many relate to!
Rhymestar & Telomic – Without You
I wrote this track about the rollercoaster of emotions I’ve been through as an artist. Written in the context of a relationship and accompanied by the soulful production of Telomic, this is probably the most personal piece I have written.
Rhymestar – Lemme Show Ya
Featuring probably the most famous quote from Rocky Balboa and with dual meaning, ‘Lemme Show Ya’ represents fighting spirit as well as a snapshot into my world, past and present. Featuring epic production from Fortune, this one always goes off!
Rhymestar ft. North Base – Outta Hand
This one does exactly what it says on the tin, one for the dancefloor. Combining gritty bars and an explosion of reese bass, it’s a certi for my energy gang!
Rhymestar – Momentum
Another personal piece. I share how certain past experiences have led me to where I am today. Once again, Fortune brings the epic piano melodies, hard hitting 140bpm breaks and deep 808s.
Sub Focus – Off The Ground
This one’s been tearing up shows and festivals all over the UK and abroad this summer. Another Sub Focus banger and staple in most sets I’ve worked on recently.
El Pablo – Resolute
Taken from his latest EP, the future is exceptionally bright for El Pablo. I’m excited to hear more from him and hopefully work on new music again together soon!
Telomic – Pieces
In my opinion, one of the most underrated DnB producers. I’m a big fan of Telomic’s soulful and emotive production. This is one of my favourite tracks from him.
Posk – Soundclash
Another name bursting through the DnB scene, Posk is a badman producer. Get your ears around this!
Polar & Bryson – Tell You What I did
A throwback to Tweet’s – ‘Oops’ from 2003, Polar and Bryson’s re-work is an absolute belter. In-fact, I prefer it to the original.
