Bella Thorne just dropped a bombshell on Mickey Rourke, and it’s shaking Hollywood.
The 27-year-old actress took to Instagram with jaw-dropping allegations against veteran actor Mickey Rourke, calling her time working with him “one of the all-time worst experiences” of her career.
The two starred in the 2020 indie thriller Girl, but according to Thorne, what happened behind the scenes was anything but scripted.
In a blistering post, Bella claims Rourke used a metal grinder on her genitals during a violent scene where her character was zip-tied and kneeling. “He’s supposed to take the grinder to my kneecap,” she wrote. “Instead, he used it on my genitals through my jeans. Hitting them over and over. I had bruises on my pelvic bone.”
But the abuse didn’t stop there.
Thorne alleged that Rourke, now 72, intentionally humiliated her in front of the cast and crew, revving a car engine to cover her in dirt and forcing her into uncomfortable, private negotiations in his trailer just to get him to finish the film. “I had to beg,” she said. “Alone. In his trailer. Since the movie could not be finished without him.”
According to Bella, producers asked her to take the lead in dealing with Rourke, who reportedly refused to speak with the director or production team. “I was uncomfortable,” she admitted. “But I did what I was asked to do and what was best for the movie.”
This isn’t the first time Rourke’s behavior has sparked headlines. Just last month, he was warned by producers on Celebrity Big Brother UK after reportedly making other contestants uncomfortable with his erratic behavior.
Thorne’s latest claims shine a harsh light on an industry that’s still struggling with accountability post-#MeToo. The allegations suggest that even now, young actresses are being put in vulnerable positions, and asked to do the emotional labor of managing volatile co-stars just to keep productions afloat.
Mickey Rourke has not publicly responded to the claims.
Thorne ended her post with a chilling summary: “Mickey should’ve never put anybody in that movie in any of those positions that he did.”
