It seems like every other day there’s a new headline about the Kar-Jenner family which delivers twists and turns none of us could ever see coming. And in one of the most shocking Kardashian scandals yet, fans discovered how deeply infatuated Travis Barker was with Kim Kardashian, before pursuing a romance with her older sister, Kourtney Kardashian. Could this be the underlying reason behind Kourtney and Kim’s long standing beef?
Travis Barker Lusted After Kim Kardashian in His 2015 Memoir
As the story goes, former Blink182 drummer Travis Barker was in love with his now-wife Kourtney Kardashian, for a decade before they started dating. According to Kardashian Folklore, Travis literally moved to Calabasas in order to simply be near Kourtney…. You know, regardless of the fact that she was already in a relationship with Scott Disick, and raising multiple children with him.
Kris Jenner told the story best during an episode of The Kardashians, spilling: “Did I tell you the story of how (Travis Barker) came over, he goes: ‘Do you want to know the real reason why I moved to Calabasas?’” Jenner asked. “He said: ‘Because I knew (Kourtney) lived in Calabasas, and I knew she was the love of my life.’” Moreover, Travis said, “‘I didn’t even know her like that, but I just knew if I couldn’t date her or be with her, because she was with someone else, that at least I could live by her.’”
Whether you’re one to find Travis’s actions akin to “The Notebook” or Joe Goldberg on “You” is entirely subjective. But eagle-eyed fans are side-eyeing this grandiose story of Travis pining after Kourtney, since written documents claim otherwise. Particularly, the whole chapter written in Travis’s book, in which he obsesses over a different Kardashian sister- AKA Kim.
In the book, the drummer opened up about his obsession with Kim Kardashian, which got so out of hand that his wife Shanna sought out revenge. He wrote in his 2015 memoir, “Shanna and I started talking to each other again, and we reunited one more time- but I really wanted to see Kim. Shanna caught wind of what was going on- she poured a drink on Kim at a party thrown by Carmen Electra. I felt terrible.”
Travis Barker’s Ex-Wife Shanna Insists Travis and Kim Kardashian Planned To Hooked Up
To add to the weirdness of the whole situation, Travis’s ex-wife Shanna blasted the two stars for conducting plans to hook up while she and her former husband were still married. She revealed on the “Dumb Blonde” podcast (per Huffington Post) that she accessed explicit text messages between Travis Barker and Kim Kardashian, which ultimately destroyed all trust within the relationship. “Travis and I never really recovered from that,” Shanna admitted in the podcast. “I felt stupid.”
Kim Kardashian Has Since Denied Hooking Up With Travis Barker
Following all the gossip that pointed to Kim and Travis’s romantic history, Kim Kardashian took the liberty of dispelling those rumors. When a fan asked if she and the Blink 182 drummer hooked up, she said, “No! False narrative.” The Reality Star added that she’s happy for her sister Kourtney, and that’s that.
