Yasmin Le Bon might have dazzled the world in the ’80s, but behind all that runway magic, her body has been quietly paying the price.

At 60, the supermodel confessed that years of high-energy photoshoots, often involving crazy stunts like endless balletic leaps in stilettos on concrete, have left her battling serious back pain. Talking to HELLO! magazine, Yasmin shared that her past work schedule wasn’t just intense; it was downright punishing. She admitted, “You don’t do what I’ve done for a living and not pay the price somewhere down the line.”

The pain hasn’t been a minor inconvenience either. Yasmin revealed there have been points where it became almost unbearably depressing, times when simply walking was a challenge and the idea of living without pain seemed impossible. “I feel for anybody who’s had back pain or is going through it. It’s really hard,” she said. But she’s also found resilience, accepting that sometimes you just have to change how you live and adjust to a new normal.

And it hasn’t just been her back causing struggles. Yasmin also opened up about the “deep, dark menopause days” that hit her mood hard. Her solution? A wardrobe overhaul. She ditched black outfits, explaining, “I needed my mood to be up. Through menopause, I really needed color in my life. Black was beginning to drag me down.” Sounds simple, but it worked, proof that sometimes the small shifts make the biggest difference.

Despite all the physical and emotional battles, Yasmin’s attitude is nothing short of inspiring. With her daughters Amber, Saffron, and Tallulah by her side, and her marriage to Duran Duran frontman Simon Le Bon still strong, she counts her blessings daily. “My world, like everyone’s, is not perfect and doesn’t smell of roses all the time,” she admitted. But even through the tougher times, Yasmin remains grateful for the life she’s led.

The glitz of the ’80s might be behind her, but Yasmin Le Bon proves that true beauty is about grit, growth, and a lot of colorful dresses when life gets dark.
