With Summer now in full swing – We caught up with JAGMAC on their recent U.S. tour, The Remixes release of their single ‘Like A Band’ & plans for the rest of 2019.
T.H.E – Welcome to T.H.E – Music Essentials, JAGMAC! Having a great summer season so far?
JAGMAC – Hello! Thanks so much for having us! Our summer has been super busy so far! We recently dropped a new EP, so we’ve been doing a lot of promo for that along with some summer shows around the country!
T.H.E – Congratulations on your single ‘Like A Band’, how long was the track in planning?
JAGMAC – We heard the song last October and fell in love with it! We recorded it a month later and then started prepping the music video for it, which we shot in May of this year.
T.H.E – Are you all involved in both the songwriting & production process?
JAGMAC – Yes! We love to be a part of the creative process with both writing and producing! However, “Like A Band” was the first song we released that we have not written.
T.H.E – When it came to choosing who remixed the single, what most influenced the decision?
JAGMAC – Our manager actually picked the remixers! He sure did a great job as they turned out really well!
T.H.E – Tell us a little about your U.S. concert bus tour, how was it & life on the road together?
JAGMAC – Being on tour was definitely the highlight of our year! There’s nothing like getting to do what you love with the people you love! It was such an amazing experience getting to see new places and meeting new people. Although, we must say, having to live on a bus for a month was definitely challenging, but still very worth it! Hopefully, there will be another tour coming soon!
T.H.E – If you could describe your signature sound in three words, what would they be?
JAGMAC – Our signature sound in 3 words would be: Fun, Energetic and Memorable.
T.H.E – What’s the music scene like in your homeland, right now?
JAGMAC – The music scene in our hometown is pretty cool! A lot of our friends are artists as well and sometimes we let them open up for us when we have shows back home. Gotta support local talent!
T.H.E – And finally, what’s next for JAGMAC across the remainder of 2019?
JAGMAC – What’s next is definitely more performances (tour dates TBA) and releasing more music! Can’t wait!
