Hailing from Madrid, NAW continues to build serious momentum and hype – with a solid roll of both commercial and club-focused output to date.
This time, touching back down with another fire-offering – ‘No Hesitation’ is a no holds barred, dance floor burner – signed to Spanish Label Faneca Music.
We caught up with NAW to find out a little more about his journey as an artist so far and the future agenda lay in store for his newly formed project – here’s what went down.
T.H.E – Hi NAW, welcome to T.H.E – Music Essentials! How are things in your world right now?
NAW – Hi! First of all, thanks for the interview and everything is perfect right now!
T.H.E – Standout vibes on your new single, ‘No Hesitation’ – How long was it in planning/production?
NAW – I began working on the track in May, this year.
T.H.E – Can you tell us a little about your journey as an artist, and as NAW to date?
NAW – I have always been a fan of dance music but never before have I started a project quite like this. I got my first release on Italian Label Smilax Publishing and did a gig with them. Since that year, I started producing more House/Tech-House tracks and also some commercial songs too.
In 2019, I performed in Ibiza and got the offer to sign with Faneca Music – started a new journey together and also this project. It seems to be a great move. We already have lots of releases scheduled together and I have the freedom to release through other labels as well – so it’s perfect.
T.H.E – What’s the meaning behind your name – NAW?
NAW – NAW, has a phonetic connection relating to my childhood name.
T.H.E – Is this the first time you’ve signed a track to Faneca Music?
NAW – This is my second release with them, and more music is coming…
T.H.E – Which three artists, past or present – have influenced you most?
NAW – I always try to leave influences apart but three artists I love are Claptone, Weiss, and Jansons.
T.H.E – In three words, can you describe your signature sound for us?
NAW – Energetic – Upbeat – Free
T.H.E – If you could collaborate with any other producer, who would it be & why?
NAW – Fallon, I discovered his music the other day and I think we could do something great together!
T.H.E – And finally, looking ahead what’s next in the pipeline for NAW – across the remainder of 2019?
NAW – Currently, I am working on a lot of upcoming releases. The next release will be a collaboration that I made with an international artist, which will be released on an international label… but that’s all I can say about it for now…!
