South Korean prodigy, Aiobahn’s previously released J-Pop smash ‘Amnesia’, returns on STMPD Records with a massive remix package with Tollef, Sanjaux, Gyrofield and Groke on remix duties, each reworking the track with their own signature sounds.

The original version from Aiobahn embodies a youthful exuberance and cathartic expression with its feel good J-Pop vibes and the remixes, unlike anything we’ve been listening to off late, are a testament to the fine talent in the industry at the moment.

The remix EP opens with the ‘Tollef’ remix, an upbeat contemporary nu-disco vibe that instantly lifts the listener’s mood with its groovy bassline and characteristic guitar riffs. The colourful façade is definitely a contrast from some of the other remixes following this one.

The ‘Sanjaux’ remix has all sorts of stuff going in terms of sound design and vibe placement, with its mid tempo classical instruments and a deep crafted chord structure. The drums are definitely a stand out in the remix and the melancholic elements further accentuate this beauty!

The ‘Gyrofield’ remix conforms to the future/electro house structure, while however, bringing a supremely fresh vibe in terms of its menagerie of bright sounds. The remix masquerades a smooth edged, video game-esque presence with its 8-bit like referenced sounds.

‘Groke’ further conforms to an up-tempo future bass-esque sound with its powerful chord references and soul bearing melancholy in the breakdown leading into the wavered chorus!

Every remix is a beautiful estimation of the fine talent on the EP and escalates the original to soaring heights. We’re excited to hear more from all artists in the future!
