Suleiman is a Canadian record label which releases deep and techy tracks that are predominantly focused at the dance floor, but sometimes on the experimental side of things.

The label’s new release is from Alexi Delano, who is a Chilean artist based between the US and Sweden.

Alexi Delano is a stalwart of the international techno scene who is well-respected for releasing music on highly influential record labels such as Plus 8, Drumcode and M_nus. This new release features three of his solo productions, but he is also known for his classic collaborations with others such as Adam Beyer, Jesper Dahlbäck, Shaun Reeves and Butane.

“No Show” is first up and opens the release with a squelching bassline layered with the distorted tones of a psychedelic synth line and fizzing high-end percussion. “Secret Drones” is second on the release and it has muffled synth stabs with atmospheric vocals that add to the building intensity of its ominous groove. “Work” closes the release with a namesake vocal that’s used to dramatic effect while the tribal drums create an upbeat energy.

All three tracks are very functional dance floor tools that although techno focused, could also be used at peak time moments in a house set, as they have a crossover appeal that combines deep atmosphere and upbeat energy.
