Both tracks on ‘Squidward’s Revenge’ were created with one thought in mind: to be dancefloor weapons.

Chef Boyarbeatz returns to the 140 landscape and Bassrush with a hefty two track EP. Both are rollers within their own respective sonic lanes as “Squidward’s Revenge” takes a more modern approach, while “Steppah” encapsulates the classics. The EP comes out on Bassrush Records on December 8th.

Speaking on the release, Chef Boyarbeatz shares: “The ‘Squidward’s Revenge’ EP have been two of my favorite dubplates to rinse out live over the past year. ‘Squirdward’s Revenge’ actually started with a different song title, but after posting a clip on Twitter, many people commented saying it sounded like him walking. So, I layered that audio subtly into the track as well as some other hidden samples. ‘Steppah’ is another personal favorite, as I was really going for that classic, textured dubstep sound. Both have been doing damage in my sets and I’m really excited to share them with the world.”

Originally hailing from California, Chef Boyarbeatz is a Denver-based transplant who has been serving up a buffet of experimental bass heaters that are flavored with elements of breaks, UK bass, deep dubstep, and left-field sounds. His previous standout release “Steady Slurkin” was voted #1 ‘Dubstep Song of the Year’ on Duploc, and his music has gained support from heavyweights like Ternion Sound, Of The Trees, Truth, Sicaria, and Noisia. He’s hot off a performance at Apocalypse: Zombieland and is gearing up for a massive set at Deadbeats Chicago.

‘Squidward’s Revenge’ is a double dose of 140 at its finest. Chef Boyarbeatz concocts two weapons that are built to destroy dancefloors and push systems to their limits.

Chef Boyarbeatz’s ‘Squidward’s Revenge’ EP is available on all platforms via Bassrush Records.
