After the July club hit – The Universal, Craig Connelly comes back with another exciting new single, The Creator.
Out on Subculture, it marks the label’s 150th record as well, and Craig has done immense justice to commemorate the milestone.
Right from the start, the track maintains an upbeat vibe, which progresses into music that easily gets you on your feet. With hard-hitting drum works and amazing bass works that complement it, the track carries its atmospheric feel forward. With every melody leading into an intimate experience, every synth bit that is dynamic, and vocal harmonics doing its own magical bit, the track simply is an ascent towards a space unknown.
Setting foot into the EDM scene in late 2010 after being announced as the winner of Super8 & Tab’s ‘Empire’ remix competition, he has crafted his own path to recognition and success. His first original production Absolute Electric received immense support from the likes of Armin van Buuren, Dash Berlin, John O’ Callaghan and Lange, and also peaked at #2 on Beatport, making him a hot new entrant of that year.
With more than 11 Beatport Top Selling Trance productions, including #1 tracks like Black Hole and Robot Wars, he has created amazing tracks like Decibel, We Are, No One Like You and many more. His 2012 release Robot Wars became a Tried & Tested track on Judge Jules’ Radio 1 show and a mix on it from Andrew Rayel made the track enter Beatport’s top 5, one day after it’s release. The current release will definitely feature on the top Beatport charts, thanks to its etheric texture and pulsating energy.
His reputation in the club scene is backed by his ability to create music that is crisp and precise in its production and electrifying in its ability to get any club going. Craig Connelly is one name that you’ll hear extensively in the near future. What do you think of this intense mix? Leave your comments below.
