Psytrance duo Dimibo returns to Ophelia for their collab with Quackson “Turing Test”.
As their first collab and Quackson’s label debut, the track features four psytrance-infused drops with BPM switches and cybernetic sound design. Dimibo will be playing the track the night before its release at the Ophelia Miami Music Week showcase at MAPS Backlot.
Washington based DJ and producer duo Dimibo has been pushing the boundaries of psytrance since their first release in 2014 that won them a trip to perform at EDC Las Vegas.
Their most recent release on Ophelia was label mega-collab “Pantheon” with Seven Lions, Wooli, Trivecta, Jason Ross, Blastoyz & Kill The Noise. With experimental sound design and genre-defying production, their releases have also landed them on other labels such as Anjunabeats and Armada. Aside from the Dimibo project, the duo is also widely known for their supergroup ‘Abraxis’ with label boss Seven Lions. The multi-genre trio has four official releases on Ophelia and has played festivals such as Dreamstate, EDC Las Vegas and Chronicles at The Gorge.
Last year, Dimibo closed two sold out nights at Avant Gardner in Brooklyn, New York for the Seven Lions & Ophelia Records Pantheon Tour. They’ll also be performing at the Miami Music Week Ophelia showcase this week, where they’ll be playing “Turing Test” the night before its release.
Quackson is a midtempo bass producer and DJ based in Seattle. “Turing Test” marks his Ophelia debut after releases on other labels such as Zeds Dead’s Deadbeats, Dim Mak and Synthesia.
Since his first official release in 2018, his releases have caught the attention of major artists such as NGHTMRE, Rezz and Liquid Stranger while also being named as one of YourEDM’s Top Artists to Watch in 2019. His unique production and sound design has also landed him features on BBC Radio 1, Insomniac Radio and NGHTMRE and SLANDER’s Gud Vibrations Radio. Quackson has also played festivals such as Beyond Wonderland PNW and Freaknight as well as support shows for midtempo producer LSDream.
