As the Dutch producer Eelke Kleijn gears up to release his new album Moments Of Clarity on the 22nd of November on his own Days Like Nights imprint, he releases a new single off that album – Drive. Being the fourth release from his upcoming LP, he continues to build curiosity.
A dynamic opening introduces you to the track and the creative mindset of the producer. As the track progresses, it is sure to suck you into its infective and bouncy vibe. Melodic bits and some crisp snares in the background make it richer before the track heads into a bass-heavy drop. An uplifting experience is what it creates before the subtle synths back the amazing beats in the climax. From a track that is titled Drive, you’d expect dynamism and excitement and this track has all of that.
“‘Drive’ is a track that I’ve been working on for a really long time. From the very first version, it’s always been about that really catchy bass line. It’s the kind of track you want to turn up to the max volume while speeding on the freeway at night, probably making you ‘drive’ even faster.” – Eelke Kleijn
Blurring the lines between electronic music producer and contemporary composer, Eelke Kleijn holds a diverse catalog of music that includes engaging movie scores and pulsing dance-floor tracks. As this track comes after other releases like The Calling, Punta Cana and Moments of Clarity, it continues to display his prowess in creating addictive music.
Having made a name for himself in the Hollywood and the music scene, he has made tracks for films like Parker, Rush, The Crossing and This Means War. With releases on revered labels like Anjunadeep and Ultra, the artist is also known for his bootleg remix of The Hunger Games hit, The Hanging Tree. Taking the label on the road, the DAYS like NIGHTS event series debuted in the United States this summer with a sell-out show in New York City, with more highly anticipated events to come.
It is certain that the Moments Of Clarity releases have gained some momentum and one can barely wait for the full release later in November. Until then, give this mix a good listen and share it with your friends right now!
