In addition to Tesla and SpaceX, another Elon Musk brainchild is Neuralink.
Neuralink is best explained on their official website as “An integrated brain-machine interface platform with thousands of channels.” In what Musk believes is meant to help humans compete with advanced artificial intelligence, the technology could initially be used to help those with brain diseases including Parkinson’s, as reported by LADbible.
In a Twitter discussion recently Musk went on to say that with Neuralink people will be able to hear music directly through the chip in their brain. In a conversation sparked by a question from the Twitter user and computer scientist Austin Howard who asks if we can listen to music directly through the chip, Musk replied saying yes!

He also said that Neuralink “could help control hormone levels and use them to our advantage (enhanced abilities and reasoning, anxiety relief, etc.).”
Trials on the new technology are well underway on animals, with human trials are scheduled to happen later this year. When exactly this will happen still remains unknown.
More information about the project is set to be announced on August 28, 2020.
