Fresh off the back of her critically acclaimed release ‘Fortune’, Only Girl has just put out the official video for it.

Speaking about the video, Only Girl, aka singer/songwriter Ellen Murphy, says: “For this video I always wanted to create something visually striking and different to the usual performance video. I’d seen Davy’s beautiful prism light work on visuals for The xx a few years back and always thought he would be amazing to work with. The gold concept, textures and Davy’s unique photographic special effects are used throughout the video to reflect the idea of value in relationships.”
As Davy describes, “The liquid- like distortions juxtapose the overall pop nature of the track, focusing heavily on gold textures which are used to represent the building up of an emotional fortune.”
The hit track ‘Fortune’ was a prompt addition to Spotify’s heralded ‘New Music Friday’ playlist. Both ‘Fortune’ and b-side release ‘Water’ were recorded at Abbey Road Studios and co-written & produced with emerging UK producer Lostboy.
With the release of ‘Fortune’ and ‘Water’, Only Girl has climbed another step on the ladder to being one of the brightest talents coming out of the UK.
