Following Apache that released on Freakin 909 last year, Hott Like Detroit return for 2021, making their debut on Piero Pirupa’s tastemaker NONSTOP label for new EP Dibby Dibby.
Capturing the attention of label head Piero Pirupa, UK duo Hott Like Detroit are forging a path of success for themselves this year. Combining their roots from both Birmingham and Bolton scenes respectively, the pair have curated an epic house sound, taking influence from the likes of Steve Lawler, Sidney Charles, wAFF, Max Chapman, Solardo and more.
Since forming, Hott Like Detroit have landed dance cuts on the likes of Freakin 909, Stashed, ON IT Recordings, CUFF, Toolroom, Elrow, Material and more, earning the duo support from DJ EZ, Mistajam, Shiba San, Amine Edge & DANCE, De La Swing, Claptone, Joris Voorn, Low Steppa and many others.
Now getting ready to turn heads once more on the scene, Hott Like Detroit step up to NONSTOP for their Dibby Dibby EP, with the likes of Jamie Jones, Shadow Child, Martin Ikin, Riva Starr and more already digging the release. Boasting gripping basslines and vibrant vocal samples, Dibby Dibby draws on sound system infusions, chunky breaks and tribal house flavours. Meanwhile, b side Let It Go draws on elements of 90s groove, weaving soulful hooks and hypnotic chants that make for a classic house roller.
