UK based duo KOAN Sound are now set to release their much awaited new album – Polychrome, which has taken three whole years to make!
The album will be out on the 7th of December on their own label, Shoshin Records.
The album shows high versatility and maturity in terms of production. With 11 tracks that bring out an amazing vibe, the artists have also released a trailer which introduces one to the single Virtual Light, which gives the listener an airy, atmospheric feeling.
“We wanted the album to be listenable but also work live at the same time – that was the hardest part. We made every track as a cinematic piece; each one tells a story. There isn’t a lot of repetition in terms of structure and arrangement, and each progresses in such a way that we can play it live in its entirety,” – KOAN Sound
The interesting aspect of this song is that KOAN Sound has teamed up with Bristol artists to create macro photography art for each of the tracks on the album. Such creativity was also displayed on their releases on Skrillex’s OWSLA and UK’s Inspected Records. With tracks like Sly Fox, Strike, Funk Blaster, and Starlite, the duo has made waves globally.
The band will be performing a special hometown show in Bristol at the famed Trinity on Saturday, February 16. Here’s the full track-list:
