Undoubtedly one of the greatest success stories drum & bass had to tell in 2015 was Netsky, and this year looks set to be even bigger. NETSKY aka, Boris Daenen, releases Higher, a collaboration with US bass megastar and OWSLA mainstay Jauz, as he gears up for the release of his third album and a huge summer.
The single is taken from Netskys highly anticipated upcoming third studio album, 3 due to be released everywhere on 10th June. Higher is already receiving a wealth of specialist radio support from the likes of Annie Mac, Danny Howard and Mistajam, as well as causing a stir in the blog world, having almost surpassed 1 million SoundCloud plays in 3 weeks.
2015 saw Netsky release the first taste of brand new album 3 with festival favourite, Rio. The Brazilian inspired drum & bass track was a hit with specialist and daytime radio alike and was heard everywhere from underground raves, to the soundtrack for Londons New Years Eve fireworks display. The arrival of 3 coincides with the start of a busy festival season for Netsky as he brings his critically acclaimed live show to Glastonbury, Reading and Leeds, SW4, Dour and Panorama Festival amongst many others.
The new album, his third studio offering, is a perfectly executed balancing act between Netskys roots in dance music and drum & bass, and blissfully happy, hook laden, intelligent pop, house, funk and electronica, littered with some incredible collaborations and special guests, including Emeli Sandé, Chromeo, Saint Raymond, Jauz and more.
