In a very short period, Metrik has consolidated his reputation as one of the biggest names of the Drum & Bass scene.
From his first release on Viper Recordings back in 2008 to seminal hits like ‘We Got It’, ‘Hackers’, and ‘Dawnbreaker’ has earned the producer a place in the UK Dance Chart Top 10, an Essential Mix, and a residency on BBC Radio 1.
Along with his original productions, Metrik has also forged his reputation as a prolific remixer, and he has been called upon by the likes of Eric Prydz, DJ Fresh, Ellie Goulding, and Gorgon City to give his Midas touch to some of their biggest tracks.
After his adventures with ‘Universal Language’ and ‘LIFE/THRILLS’, Metrik is now back with his 3rd solo album, ‘Ex -Machina’. The album will pay homage to the producer’s exhilarating and flawlessly executed sonics style of Drum & Bass, which will be packed with high-octane drum & bass frequencies and first-class dancefloor tear-ups. With ‘Ex Machina’, Metrik has taken his productions to a whole new level with his own vocals and songwriting taking centre stage throughout the 13-track LP.
Metrik has also welcomed label-mate Grafix and Australian bass music titan ShockOne on the album, which will be the only collaborations, with 11 of the 13 tracks featuring his solo avant-garde productions.
The album will be officially released on 26 June 2020 on Hospital Records. So, keep your eyes peeled, and in the meantime, you can join Metrik for his ‘Ex Machina Sessions’ which is a weekly stream live and direct from his studio where the album was created.
