Juliet Fox’s record label TREGAMBE brings 2023 to a close with a 6-track compilation featuring a selection of exciting talent that will be making waves in 2024.
All of the tracks represent a different part of Juliet Fox’s taste, and the music comes from Clif Jack, Bjørnson, TØDV, Mark Wildman, Victoria.52 and Datcher. Mark Wildman’s “Cut The Bass” is a 158 BPM dance floor smasher, but Clif Jack’s “U Need U” is arguably the release’s strongest track.
Bjørnson’s “Ultrasonic” was another standout cut due to its gritty percussion and modulating synth line, but Clif Jack’s U Need U has an intense sound built around a sub-heavy bassline.
U Need U is the slowest track on the release at 128 BPM, but its electro-tinged bass gives it the biggest sound and a timeless vibe that at times is reminiscent of classics by the likes of Miss Kittin & The Hacker.
This is the first time that Clif Jack has featured on TREGAMBE, and he adds the label to an already impressive back catalogue including other imprints such as Reinier Zonneveld’s Filth on Acid, Veerus’ Le Club, Simina Grigoriu’s Kuukou Records and Deborah De Luca’s Solamente.
Clif Jack also recently launched his own record label called MJA the Vision, and his track on this compilation shows why he has recently been picking up DJ support from the likes of Adam Beyer.
