Weissach are a brand-new drum & bass duo, composed of Paul Sawyer and Simon Sinfield, who are dropping their new single ‘Fly’ ft. Ana Be which takes them in a fresh direction as a duo.

After making their names within the world of Progressive House, seeing them take over a six-month residency for BBC Radio 1, as well as receiving support from BBC Radio 1 Introducing, this new journey sees them join forces with vocalist Ana Be for their debut single as Weissach.

With Ana Be making a name for herself within her own right, stacking up millions ofplays across multiple platforms across her back catalogue, ‘Fly’ brings the two parties together with its lush, layered melodies and Ana Be’s soaring voice overture.

Below is a Spotify playlist they’ve provided taking you through the songs which inspired them leading up to this point – the steppingstones to their new single ‘Fly’, which is out now,

Goldie – Inner City Life [FFRR]

Rolling back to 1994 and this drum and bass track was being played by every dj during that period, even if d & b wasn’t their normal genre to play. This was firmly sat in bot of our record boxes for many years and sits pride of place in our studios still.

Sunscreem – Luv U More [Sony Music]

Perfect euphoria in its finest form. A track that really was a pivotal point in both of our dj careers. Over 30 years old and still sounds amazing. To top it off we have had the opportunity to work with Sunscreem and release a remix of their release Perfect Motion on our label.

The Chemical Brothers – Block Rockin Beats [Virgin Records]

If you’ve not been to see these guys live, you’ve not lived! Their shows are second to none and absolutely started off the trend with huge visuals way before all of the recent shows that use 3D imagery. Amazing every time and this track just blows the crowd.

Blue Amazon – And Then The Rain Falls (Paul Sawyer Remix) [Krafted Underground / Re-Connected]

A big track from our sets throughout the years that Paul remixed and has been supported by so many DJ’s still to today.

Solarstone – Seven Cities (Kristina Sky Pacific Coast Remix) [Pure Trance]

If you think of Ibiza, this track just sums it up. Close your eyes and lay back, imagine you’re sat on Las Selinas beach and this is it! Brilliantly remixed by our good friend Kristina Sky and originally by another friend of ours that we have got to know over recent years, Solarstone.

New Order – Blue Monday [Factory Records/MHIYH]

Such an iconic track. Referred to as one of the most seminal electronic dance tracks and one that kick started the extended 12” mix format. The original 12” is still the biggest selling 12” single of all time. There’s plenty of remixes, but the original remains as one of the all time classics

The Future Sound of London – Papa New Guinea [Jumpin & Pumpin]

This one just brings back amazing memories. A track that changed everything for the more ambient side of house. A boundary-pushing approach saw the guys experiment further and further, regardless of what others were doing at the time. The groups 3 hour experimental radio shows in the 90s were a personal favourite.

BT feat. Jan Johnston – Remember [Perfecto]

We both love this track and have subsequently worked with Jan on numerous projects and have had her on the label a few times. This track was written for Brian’s ESCM album (an incredibly influential album), and this track in particular shows off Jan’s incredible vocal style, as well as her songwriting talent. An absolute gem within our industry and a lady we are fortunate to call our friend.

Moby – Go [Rough Trade]

Another track that changed everything. Back to the early 90s with Moby’s game-changer. Here’s a track you can drop now and it’ll work. House remixes, techno remixes and Drum and Bass versions all work. Total class.

Fat Boy Slim – Love Island [Skint]

Not sure we could create this list without a track from Norm. This a bit of a curveball track, but such a key one. Love Island is from Fatboy Slim’s multi-platinum second album You’ve Come A Long Way Baby – a record that showed how big and influential Norman was becoming. This track is a fave. It’s always about inventive sampling and keeping things simple with his tracks and wow does it work!
