Following the vinyl release of his most ambitious album to date earlier this month and the critically acclaimed digital release last year, jungle pioneer Congo Natty now enlists in demand tastemaker lau.ra for a breaks and bass house infused remix of ‘Postcode’ Dance from this Ancestorz (Rootz Of Jungle) album.
Marking his biggest body of work yet with 31 tracks, Congo Natty’s special vinyl edition of Ancestorz (Rootz Of Jungle) was cut down to nine key tracks, one of them including Postcode Dance. Now, established talent laur.ra takes the release beyond jungle realms transforming it into completely her own. Featuring dreamy bass fuelled synths, underpinned by breakbeat infusions, lau.ra showcases the original vocals in full force with weighty drums that make for the perfect dance floor anthem.
Set to add further success to the project, that has included backing from BBC Radio 1, 6 Music, BBC Radio 1 Xtra, Radio X, NTS, Rinse FM, CLASH, DJ Mag, Mixmag, NME, Resident Advisor, UKF and more, lau.ra’s remix will only broaden the original’s horizons. A formidable force on the underground, lau.ra has firmly cemented herself as a versatile artist amongst her peers, racking up millions of streams with her label signing on NeedWant whilst playing huge shows each year including DC-10 and Amnesia in Ibiza, BBC Radio 1’s Big Weekend and many more.
