Respected producer and DJ Guy Gerber will be bringing his infamous event brand RUMORS to the luxury boutique hotel Thompson Playa Del Carmen, for a very special 3 day takeover during BPM. One of the most ambitious and exiting concepts at this year’s festival, the full experience promises to be unlike anything else on offer.
From the 13th to the 15th of January, all music throughout the hotel will have been especially curated by Guy, with gifts and merchandise in the rooms for the lucky guests. The bespoke RUMORS hotel experience will culminate in a surprise still to be announced.
Meanwhile, Guy’s official RUMORS party will be held at Martina Beach Club on the 14th January, bringing high-profile guests and RUMORS affiliates Cassy, Behrouz and Acid Mondays to the beautiful and relaxed seafront venue.
Guy’s RUMORS sets have become the stuff of legend amongst those in the know, with the parties consistently attracting a clued up and international crowd. Having begun life as a clandestine pop up ressidency on the beaches of Ibiza, Guy’s RUMORS have since spread to London, Tel Aviv, Sardinia, Mykonos and LA in addition to regular slots at Art Basel Miami and BPM Mexico. the unique concept has previously led to appearances from the likes of DJ Harvey, Bob Moses, Red Axes, Sasha, Dubfire, Cassy and many more.
Meanwhile, the Thompson is Playa Del Carmen’s new premiere boutique hotel. Set on the beachfront, it’s known for its rooftop parties with a stunning infinity pool. The RUMORS hotel experience aims to pair this idyllic backdrop with the best in electronic music.
