Dutch DJ and producer, Oliver Heldens (literally) took EDM to new heights 2 days back, when he decided to play a set mid air.
The Dutch producer also known as HI-LO, played a ‘Mile High DJ Set’ from a hot air balloon and streamed it live on Facebook.
The crazy Dutchman is clearly undaunted by heights and cramped spaces. Heldens played a stunning future house set, which sounds even better with the mid air setting. After watching the set, it is very evident that there isn’t enough space for him to groove and jump in that cramped space. Also, there isn’t enough room for a dance party up there. Maybe future innovations in design of the hot air balloon will enable the DJs to make their fans actually experience this set.
Heldens has been quite occupied with Heldeep Radio, his record label and his long summer tour. (Find tickets and more information here) Let’s hope that Heldens finds time to work on the live audience feasibility of the ‘Mile High DJ Set’.
