Here’s What’s In Sabrina Carpenter’s Fortnite Music Pass (And Why Fans Are Obsessed)

Fortnite is about to get a lot more “Espresso.” Pop sensation Sabrina Carpenter has been announced as the next headliner for Fortnite Festival Season 8, launching April 8. In true Fortnite style, this means in-game skins, music tracks, cosmetics, and a digital stage all her own.

Fans had been speculating for weeks after leaks suggested Carpenter’s debut, and Epic Games finally confirmed it with a splashy post and a blog drop. Now it’s official: the two-time Grammy winner joins the Fortnite Festival lineup alongside prior headliners like Lady Gaga, Billie Eilish, and Metallica.

The Fortnite Festival game mode, a Rock Band-inspired experience where players jam out online, will now feature two of Sabrina’s hits, “Juno” and “Nonsense,” as playable tracks. But let’s be honest, the biggest moment here is the Sabrina Carpenter avatar, complete with her viral yellow babydoll dress from the Short n’ Sweet tour.

Upon purchasing the Season 8 Music Pass for 1,400 V-Bucks (around $13), fans unlock Sabrina’s outfit and her LEGO Fortnite version. Climbing the pass also unlocks exclusive guitars, emotes, and alternate skins. If you’re not into the pass, a separate “Tour Ready” version of her outfit, complete with back bling and a mic, will be available in the item shop as part of a bundle.

Speaking to Rolling Stone, Carpenter admitted she’d never played Fortnite before, but loved the idea of letting fans interact with her music in new ways. “It’s such a special way to still be part of the Short n’ Sweet world,” she said. And in true Sabrina fashion, she joked about her avatar’s height: “All Fortnite characters are six foot three, which is also how tall I am in real life.”

The update marks a huge pop-culture moment for Fortnite Festival, which continues to carve out space as a live-performance-meets-gameplay hybrid. Past virtual concerts have set internet-breaking records (remember Travis Scott and Ariana Grande?), and this new collaboration hints at more artists coming soon. Chappell Roan has already expressed interest.

Sabrina’s digital debut isn’t just a cosmetic add-on, it’s a moment of cultural relevance. Her fan base is riding high off recent hits, her viral outfits are already meme material, and her crossover into gaming cements her status as a Gen Z icon.

Players can grab the Music Pass or bundles via the Fortnite item shop starting April 8. Fortnite Festival is available across all platforms including PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch, Windows, and macOS.

Whether you’re here for the outfits, the music, or the bragging rights, one thing’s for sure: Sabrina Carpenter’s set is about to light up Fortnite, and your timeline.
