Flying Octopus is REZZ’s latest track and comes out after her previous releases ‘Witching Hour’ and ‘HEX’, which is from her upcoming album, ‘Certain Kind Of Magic’. The album will be out on 3rd of August via mau5trap.
The music has a grippy nature to it as it grabs you towards its charm right from the beginning. It’s one track that can definitely be used in a suspense-thriller flick!
The tone is inquisitive and the tempo is pretty groovy.
The highlight is the well-crafted animated video that has a very unique theme! The animated piece features an octopus receiving messages from REZZ in a bottle to help him map out a way to fly to her on Neptune. Using the help of his friends, this is all made possible. It’s been made in collaboration with Ireland’s Pink Kong Studios.
On July 17th, REZZ showcased her work at a private event at the Magic Castle, in Hollywood, CA. In attendance were The Glitch Mob, DESTRUCTO, Tokimonsta and mau5trap artist Rinzen.
‘Certain Kind Of Magic’ also features collaborations with emerging artists like Deathpact, Kotek, 13 and Fytch, adding to the battery of her menacing productions–follows REZZ’ 2017 full-length debut Mass Manipulation (mau5trap) which brimmed with the innovative singles and collaborations that consistently portray the menacing soundscapes she is known for and truly showcased her forward-thinking and unique mentality. The worldwide critical acclaim from the likes of Billboard (who dubbed her Billboard Dance Breakout Artist of the Year), Mixmag, Dancing Astronaut, and many more is testament to the fact that REZZ has truly become a tastemaker and trendsetter in the industry.
Isabelle Rezazadeh, is a Canadian talent and came into limelight with her debut EP, Insurrection in 2015 through NEST HQ.
In 2016, Rezazadeh announced her first EP on mau5trap, The Silence is Deafening, which released on January 22, 2016. This was followed by a second EP release on mau5trap later that year, Something Wrong Here, on October 7, 2016. The EP charted in the United States, peaking at #19 on the Billboard Dance Charts. In 2017 she released her debut full length studio album, Mass Manipulation on mau5trap. It was also named the best Electronic Album of the Year at the Juno Awards.
