As Kat continues to create buzz in the scene with a sold-out national tour, and festival performances at The Great Escape and Firefly Music Festival, she releases a new track ‘Stay On The Line’.

The track, which was out with OUT Magazine, has some brilliant, airy synths and groovy bass lines. The vocals are truly enchanting and the chorus adds all the more life to it. One is sure to enjoy the uncanny chorus breaks and the infectious transfer of tempo.

About the track, she says, “A part of my mission as an artist is to set an example as an empowered woman who is in ownership of her body, her desire and her knowledge; so naturally, a lot of my music is about sex. “Stay On The Line” sets a particular scene (for which I am awfully nostalgic,) of two consenting individuals sneaking onto family landlines, willing to risk getting caught for the forbidden taste of closeness. It’s a mark of our times that only some people remember how it feels to press a landline to their ear, cupping the crackling voice on the other end.

There is something beautiful about the way (my experiences with phone sex) have been filled with poetry, feverishly using words like a tennis match, and metaphor in place of scent, touch, and taste. It’s about phone sex, but it’s also about the poetic depths of desire and a need to connect in the modern age.”

Kat is versatile and blends pop, soul and Baroque arrangements, and also draws a lot from her time as a Broadway actress in Dangerous Laiisons, Cique Du Soleil- Paramore and Sleep No More. After recently earning a recurring role on HBO’s The Deuce, Kat was selected to perform at the Teen Vogue Summit, further establishing herself as a thought-leader in the LGBTQ+ space.

In a short span of one year, she has garnered more than 300000 stremas and charted on HypeMachine’s Top 20 and also hit the top when BBC Radio 1’s Annie Mac called her ‘New Name To Watch In 2018’. Her sultry, exquisite voice has already earned praise from the likes of The New York Times, Huffington Post, Refinery29, and BlackBook

With an unfailing charisma, she is definitely one to watch out for in the coming future!
