T.H.E Interview – DJ LTN

A man that emerged from his passion and love of music, it has been a way of life for LTN. A talented and hardworking man, striving to show the best of him. Music has always been his passion, it runs through his vein. His love of music is reflected with all the music he creates in the studio and the live sets that he played. Mixed seamlessly, LTN stays through with his own style and sound, making his DJ sets seemingly a never ending journey.

With the release of his debut album, “People I’ll Never Forget” upon us, we had a chance to speak to the guy who was mentioned as the next big thing by none other than Solarstone himself.

Check out our interview below where Louis speaks about what got him hooked onto trance music, his early musical inspirations, thinking behind the album title, future album tour and plenty more. Read on! :)

T.H.E – Hi Louis, thanks for taking the time to talk to us. First off, give us a little insight of who you are and what you do.

DJ LTN – I am just an ordinary person who loves music so much and happy to share my music to the world. I do spend most of my time in my mini studio. :)

T.H.E – What was it that first really caught your attention about trance music? Who were your early influences and the key people who you looked up to musically?

DJ LTN – The breakdown with a great nice harmonic melody caught my attention into Trance Music. Paul Van Dyk, Armin Van Buuren, Above and Beyond and Ferry Corsten were all the key people who inspire me to create my first music.

T.H.E – What’s your work flow like in the studio? What are your bare essentials in the studio, in terms of sounds, equipment, plug-ins etc?

DJ LTN – My studio was a simple one. At this stage Im using Neumann Berlin monitor speaker which is sound so great and very details in my opinion. I am using Access Virus TI Polar for synthesizer, many VSTIs, but mostly Nexus 2, Synlenth, NI Komplete 10 and Omnisphere for my productions.

T.H.E – Your upcoming debut album has a very interesting title, “People I’ll Never Forget”. What is it that you want to communicate through this album to your fans?

DJ LTN – People I’ll Never Forget, my family is the key behind the title as they are always encourage me and be there for me during the good times and hard times. For the fans, i hope they can always remember their good times and hard times alongside the people that always be there for them. We are mostly remember all the bad times that people did to us, but we are also have to remember all the good things that people done for us.

T.H.E – Considering that its your debut album, we would love to know how did you decided that the timing was right?

DJ LTN – For me there is no right timing, because i wanna share my music for everyone so i think everytime as long as the music ready, its always a good timing.

T.H.E – You have some amazing collaborations lined up. Tell us how you finalised the list of artists to collaborate with on this album. Any interesting anecdotes from the studio to share with your fans?

DJ LTN – I always love collaborate with other artists, as for me each of them has a unique ideas. But during my album process, every artists which were on my album, i just contacted them and we do the collab straight away and they were all amazing.

T.H.E – Can we expect an album tour in the near future?

DJ LTN – Yes for sure :). There will be some great album tours with cds giveaway.

T.H.E – We know that you have quite a lot of new material coming out soon, can you give us an overview of what’s lined up?

DJ LTN – There are many projects coming up and Im so excited and cant wait to share. I do some great collab with Adara, Arielle Maren, Kimberly Hale and so on, also do some remixes for the Spacies, Alexander Popov and so on. All will follow up after my album release.

T.H.E – Where would you like to see yourself in 2015 and the years to follow?

DJ LTN – I hope my first album will boost up my career in 2015 by doing more touring and off course I already have an idea for my second album in the following year.

T.H.E – Last question – anything to add or shout outs?
