Time Has Changed is a tech-house label that operates out of France.
Their raison d’etre is house music on a grandiose and dancefloor-inclined scale, and their latest release is a case in point from that regard. Always ones to champion new talent, it arrives on our desks thanks to the inimitable works of the Cosmic Cowboys, an Italian pair who’ve previously released on Time Has Changed and also boast credits for the likes of Superfiction and Bedrock.
It all gets under way courtesy of title track, ‘’Perseus’’. As dramatic a track as you’re likely to stumble over this side of 2015, it’s full of elongated plays and raw, dramatic sweeping synths of the sort that you can’t help but be bowled over by. If you’re out this weekend to leave your audience in raptures, then this one should do very nicely indeed. In a just world, it’ll have dancefloors trembling in Europe and beyond this summer.
Betoko’s remix isn’t bad either. The sometime Diynamic man has made a career out of such sprightly tech-house gems, and he reminds us of his talents thanks to a remix that loses much of the original’s full-on vibes but cleverly replaces them with a more supple and subtle re-working.
