Mr. Belt & Wezol – RDY2FLY (Original Mix) [Spinnin’ Deep]

0

After scoring major hits this year with ‘Finally’ (a remake of the CeCe Peniston 90s tune) and ‘Somebody To Love’ (using the original vocals of the 60s classic by Jefferson Airplane), Dutch duo Mr. Belt & Wezol returns with its new single, this time re-using some 90s sounds with ‘RDY2FLY’, out today on Spinnin’ Deep.

It’s turned into a sweet trademark sound for the duo, reworking classic gems into a tasty, 21st century house groove. One of their earliest hit tracks was already a remake of Wildchild’s 90s club tune ‘Renegade Master’, which quickly got picked up by house music tastemaker Oliver Heldens. A collab followed, resulting in last year’s Spinnin’ release ‘Pikachu’, peaking at about 1.5 million YouTube views.

Hailed as precursors of a fresh wave in house music, Mr. Belt & Wezol continued their streak of gold with brand new single ‘Finally’, released last April on Spinnin’ Deep, a stunning tribute to the 90s CeCe Peniston dance classic, which spent over a month in the Top 10 of Beatport’s main chart, while it resided on the House Chart #1 spot for 24 days! Not surprisingly, the DJ support was immense; renowned house heads like Oliver Heldens, Sam Feldt, EDX, Watermät and Mike Mago playing it to bits everywhere.

Working with upcoming UK producer Freejak, the duo released its biggest record to date this summer, revisiting the 60s classic ‘Somebody To Love’ by Jefferson Airplane. It caused a stir on the Ibiza clubs as well as festivals all over the world, gaining support from DJs like Oliver Heldens, Avicii and The Magician as well as radio plays from guys like Martin Garrix and Nicky Romero. Again, the track stayed in the Beatport Top 10 for over a month, the House Chart Top 10 even being taken for over two months (!).

‘RDY2FLY’

Now, Mr. Belt & Wezol are back. This time it’s another 90s tune they’ve taken under their wings, the happy hardcore record ‘Are You Ready To Fly’ by Dune getting an amazing house restyling. DJ support for ‘RDY2FLY’ already comes from all corners, artists like Oliver Heldens, Robin Schulz, EDX, The Magician and Lost Frequencies are just as crazy about it as guys like Tiësto and Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike.

So, looks like we have another Mr. Belt & Wezol classic on our hands! The tracks comes with the support of a quirky and typically uplifting video, fitting the duo’s vibe as well as the track’s character. Nuff said, work those wings and get ‘RDY2FLY’!
