Arjun Vagale

Arjun Vagale has been the flag bearer of the Indian electronic music community for years. An illustrious career spanning two decades, has seen him widely celebrated as the pioneer of Indian Techno. From headlining festivals, setting up a successful booking agency (UnMute), a blooming music school (I Love Music Academy), a solid record label (Mak.Tub) and another budding one (Odd Records), winning DJ awards and playing multiple gigs at top venues across the country, there’s nothing Arjun Vagale hasn’t done. His productions are equally intriguing. Inspired deep and dark sounds, he has notched up releases on some of the biggest labels in the Techno scene such as Sci+Tec and Adam Beyer’s Drumcode Records. If you really want a glimpse of what you might experience in Goa, we recommend you to listen to ‘Liquid’ or ‘Terrakoz’ (Our favourite) by Arjun Vagale. Yes, you can thank us later!

Ash Roy

Nikhil Chinapa has been a keen admirer of Ash Roy’s music and it was evident when we interviewed him early this year for Vh1 Supersonic. Ash Roy’s illustrious seventeen year career has seen him perform around the world, including Germany, USA, India, Sweden, with the recent most trip being to Netherlands for the Awakenings Festival. Ash’s style moves through genres that range from minimal to tech-house to techno and he is well known for his mind bending sets. Ash Roy also owns a homegrown record label called as Soupherb Records and the aim of the label has always been to provide a platform for forward thinking and Experimental music producers in the genres of Techno, Minimal, House and all the sub genres that go with it.

BLOT!

Yet another mainstay in the Indian Techno Industry, Gaurav Malaker aka BLOT! Is one the finest Indian exports. BLOT! Has spent a decade in the industry and he was one of the very few Indian artists playing Minimal Techno back in 2007. With a full length album released on Universal Music in 2013 as well as a release on iconic label Diynamic Music, he is one of India’s most sought-out producers, and performs at club and festival dates all over the country to an extremely loyal fan base, which is rivalled by few. Gaurav’s sound has gradually evolved from minimal sounds into mastery of a warmer and more emotive sound that straddles techno and deeper side of modern house. BLOT!’s set are pulsating and energetic and he has the ability to take the listener into a journey with this music. His set for the inaugural edition of Boiler Room in Delhi will gear you up for Satellite Beach Side.

Nawed Khan aka Browncoat

Better known as Nawed Khan with Browncoat being his techno moniker, he is one of the biggest names in the booming Dance music scene in India. A resident with Submerge, Nawed has constantly stayed ahead of the music scene in India by acquiring and playing some realty emotive tunes and almost Impossible to obtain mixes of classics. A regular feature in clubs around India and South East Asia, he’s one of the few DJs from India to have played across the globe with successful performances across America, Asia, Australia , Africa, and Europe in a career spanning over 15 years. This is one act you simply can’t miss. Here’s a glimpse of Browncoat’s closing set from last year’s edition to warm you up for the mayhem you will experience later this month.

Praveen Achary

There are very few artists in the country who have been as effective as Praveen Achary. The Bangalore based producer and DJ is one the most respected artists in India. With a unique combination of ‘Deep, Tech and Progressive House’, his style has always gained him a lot of appreciation by fellow artists & fans alike. His sets are a testament to his hard work over the years. He can seamlessly make the listener travel to another dimension with his music. Praveen is a regular host with his own show “Juicebox”, on the world’s leading progressive house station – friskyRadio, he has been part of the ‘friskyLovesIndia’ series twice, as well as being featured as friskyRadio’s ‘Artist Of The Week’, a feat achieved by not too many. In addition to his strong online presence, he has played at many club nights & festivals around the nation delving crowds with his seamless style of music.

Mashter

MASHTER’S sets are sure to set the mood and his style can be described as ranging from deep to progressive to techno, with elements of trance. Known for his unique DJ’ing skills, Mashter is selected by Pioneer Dj Systems India as their official Dj and to endorse the Pioneer brand in South Asia in early 2016.

Started DJ’ing in 1999 at the age of 16 under the influence of Sasha, Paul Oakenfold, Bedrock, Siddhanth blasted many clubs in Mumbai with his tunes. PLayed in leading nightclubs like Fire and ICE and Mikanos in Mumbai, his love for Techno always remians strong. A mix of all forms of Techno and House sounds, his sets are to watch out for.

Along with a monstrous line up of such revered Indian artists, Satellite Beachside has added some of the finest international Techno and House artists such as the eclectic Dutch duo 16 Bit Lolitas, German Underground dance music phenomenon Martin Roth, Anjunadeep A&R man Dom Donnelly and many more.
