All eyes are on Sandra Bullock and Keanu Reeves following reports that the former co-stars will be teaming up again for an upcoming film project.
And no, it’s not a sequel to their first film collab, “Speed.” Instead, the longtime friends will be co-starring as love interests in an untitled thriller romantic comedy, directed by Noah Oppenheim.
Although it’s been over three decades since Bullock and Reeves starred in “Speed,” the pair couldn’t help but play lovers once more in the 2006 film, “Lake House.” These two just can’t resist each other, can they? With three separate movies where Keanu Reeves and Sandra Bullock play romantic interests, you’d think the celebs have some sort of off-screen romance as well. Turns out, according to The Matrix actor, he most definitely developed a secret “crush” on Bullock throughout their friendship.

Sandra Bullock and Keanu Reeves Were Secretly Attracted To Each Other While Filming ‘Speed’
While sitting down with Ellen Degeneres, Sandra Bullock got real with the former talk show host about how difficult it was to work with her co-star, Keanu Reeves, since she finds him so distractingly attractive. The Blind Side actress even fessed up to having a big ol’ crush on Reeves while shooting the 1994 film, “Speed.” According to The Proposal star, she was under the impression that the reason they never ended up dating in real life, was because Reeves simply wasn’t attracted to her in the same way she was towards him.
But as it turns out, that’s far from the case. When Keanu Reeves sat down with the talk show host later on, he was quick to respond, “She obviously didn’t know that I had a crush on her, either.”

Despite Bullock and Reeves’ insane chemistry and attraction to one another, The Proposal actress said in an Esquire spread that she and her longtime pal are currently just friends. But according to the actress, she’s not opposed to a romantic future with Reeves!
She said in the 2021 Esquire interview, “Who knows?” in regards to what’s in store for their relationship.
Fortunately, for now, The Speed actress is able to see the beauty in their platonic status, because she thinks if Reeves dumped her, there would be an inevitable heartache and resentment between them.
When asked if she’d be able to ‘survive’ a relationship with the John Wick star, Bullock told the mag, “Keanu’s a guy who, I feel like, is friends with every woman he’s ever dated. I don’t think there’s anyone who has something horrible to say about him.”
The actress went on, saying, “So maybe we could have survived. I don’t know. But we didn’t have to survive anything. We just get to grow up together on parallel roads and tip our hats and meet for a dinner and try to work together. And the longer time goes on, the more in awe I am of the human being. Would I have been able to say that if he had dumped me and made me angry? Probably not.”
