Enveak & L’Étrange M. Redan released their second production via Future Rave Music, both talented DJs and music producers are keeping busy this summer season, working on new projects, producing new music in the studio and preparing for upcoming live performances.

These two artists show no signs of stopping, and while they continue with their busy schedule, we found some time to talk with them about their latest release ‘Midnight’ a hard-hitting production that showcases the best of their abilities and sound.

This is what they said.

T.H.E – Hello Enveak & L’Étrange M. Redan, how are things going?T.H.E – ‘Midnight’ is out now, could you walk us through the production process? What was the first working session like?

Enveak & L’Étrange M. Redan – We are constantly in touch sharing our productions, listening to them, and talking to each other frequently. We had good comments on ‘Going Down’, our first release on Future Rave Music, that we decided one night to make the follow-up to it.

The first thing was to find some hovering chords while maintaining our artistic touch. Then, the main goal was to add a summer vibe. That’s how we started…

T.H.E – Does the track have any musical influences?

Enveak & L’Étrange M. Redan – What was actually pretty cool, is that ‘Going Down’ already led us on the right direction. Of course, we have a big Future Rave influence with artists such as David Guetta and Morten, but this style could also refer to Lost Frequencies. We created our own path with this song and we are so happy with the final result.

T.H.E – Did you use any samples or plugins for the production of the song?

Enveak & L’Étrange M. Redan – Yes definitely. The Reese Bass from Serum is pretty powerful. Sylenth1 and Spire gave us so much inspiration to create the leads and ambient pads. Those elements fit perfectly with the vocals!

T.H.E – How does this track showcase your individual styles and sounds?

Enveak – As for me (Enveak), I always loved creating some emotions on my tracks, give some soul to them is very important to me. To feed it all, nothing better than a banger drop right after to keep the energy.

L’Étrange M. Redan – As for me (L’Étrange M. Redan), this is not what I usually do because I have a really special genre. I usually produce hard stuff. If you listen to my previous tracks, you will notice that my sounds are pretty weird, which is normal because I’m strange, I’m L’Étrange M. Redan, haha… But I love music, honestly, I have no boundaries, no limits. If I think a track is good, I will work on it, I don’t care and I will try to add my touch. I love the emotion a track can give; I love to have goosebumps.

T.H.E – How long did it take you to get to the final version of ‘Midnight’?

Enveak & L’Étrange M. Redan – I think it took us about 3 months to get the final version. Redan constantly brought new ideas and Enveak can spend hours on one element, to finally go back to where I started haha.

T.H.E – Can you describe the song to someone who hasn’t heard it yet?

Enveak & L’Étrange M. Redan – This is a very emotional track, very melodic. Some trancy vibes with Future Rave leads… The vocal will give you good vibrations. The first drop is pretty impactful, whereas the second drop more melodic due to the leads and the vocal. The second break brings the tension with the arpeggiator.

T.H.E – What is it like working together? Have you learned something from collaborating with each other?

Enveak & L’Étrange M. Redan – It’s always interesting to work together. Especially, when you have the same vision. Everything goes faster.

We always learn new technics from each other, and we improve our production skills.

T.H.E – What would you say is the hardest part about producing music?

Enveak – For me (Enveak) I think it comes from the ideas sometimes that we are trying to highlight but hard to express. To make sure the sound is clear and ready for the audience.

L’Étrange M. Redan – As for me (L’Étrange M. Redan), the hardest part I think it’s the inspiration, because when you have a lack of inspiration it’s difficult to achieve a track from the beginning to the end. But when things pop-up in your head, like the samples, the different elements, the melody, the structure etc… it can be done shortly.

T.H.E – What are you currently working on?

Enveak & L’Étrange M. Redan – Right now, we are working on different projects. Enveak is having lot of releases this year and he continues to improve his melodic style.

Redan is more focused on the Hardstyle scene. He’s actually booked for ‘The Eskape Festival’ in July and he is ready to smash it as never before!

But we have a lot of projects going on and we are making some good new things to be released at the end of the year. So, stay tuned!
