We haven’t quite seen an EDM success story like Alan Walker, who, having broken through the shackles of superstardom in such a short span of time and on a platform that most producers can only dream to achieve their entire career.
With hits like ‘Faded’, ‘Alone’ and countless electronica and EDM infused records, Alan introduced a refreshing sound to a community, that was then riddled with the rather abundant 128 bpm hard hitting dance fervour that rocked clubs and mainstages alike, bringing a unique downtempo style of electronica that helped elevate the new brand of dance music.
Alan has since, experimented with various sounds albeit striking within the realm of the signature style of dance music that he is known for. Having consistently compiled a strong discography over the last few years, Alan has taken a new direction with ‘Believers’ featuring British chart topping artist, Conor Maynard, who has his fair share success with a bunch of hits in the pop space and a few dance music collaborations under his belt as well.
‘Believers’ is an energetic pop/dance tune that begins with a rather funky bass and synth combination featuring Conors strong vocal range influence. The song has a quirky meets soulful vibe matched with the traditional rhythmic groove on Alan’s music. The song also plays with occasional brass and string pitch-ins that add further dynamic creativity.
With an impending album on the cards, we can hope to believe that there may be many more crossover records like ‘Believer’ by Alan in the future!
