Both originals feature Daniel’s signature low end thickness, snappy drum patterns, atmospheric fills, and cheeky vocals. “Marvelous” has the force of a driving Techno track, morphed with the deeper elements of a Tech House style groove, that has the power to shake a room.
“Those Lives” builds nice and slowly to create anticipation for the emphasis on his drops and the introduction of the vocal. His throbbing bassline and subby kick fill the bottom end perfectly. With slightly stripped back drums and a sweet hook, this track has the energy to change the tide of any dance floor.
Rob Lamberti steps the pace up with his rendition. His driving Tech House remix of “Marvelous” is out of control! Uppity in its vibe and with a deep sub bass, this dark belter is a force to be reckoned with. Eerie atmospheric fills and elongated breakdowns leading into heavy drops emphasise the brute force of this beast.
Gruuve’s delivers a down tempo minimal Tech House groover with a blissful tribally vibe. Drum driven and quite spacious, his remix emanates a lot of movement within the minimal parts. His use of percussion, especially the infectious congas will have people swaying mesmerised to its hypnotic ways.
Luca M & JUST2 add their chuggy house flavour to their interpretation, and the result is a rolling house burner that sways and moves. An in your face jam that evolves into a contained percussive array of groovy power. Their drops hit hard and fast with solid rolling fatness that many might struggle to deny.
