Following the huge success of his track ‘Just Friends’ feat. Boy Matthews, Hayden James has come out with the music video for the track.
Released by the trend-setting Australian imprint, Future Classic/Universal, the single garnered over 20 million streams and acted as yet another flagpole for James as one of the world’s most lovable artists.
The video is shot in the sunny backgrounds of Los Angeles, as it brightly complements the vibrant tones of the track itself. Portraying the amazing bonding between two friends, its sure is one to make you smile. Directed by Sean Nunley (Cedric Gervais, Borgore), the video captures the warm tones and emotive feelings embedded into “Just Friends,” This video comes after his previous releases of videos for “Something About You”, “Just A Lover”, and “Permission To Love”.
Having been released in May, this year, the track arrived on the back of his ARIA Platinum Certified 2017 single ‘Numb’ with GRAACE, creating an amazing blend of catchy and rich music.
His debut EP, Hayden James was released on 30 August 2013. Since then, James has supported Disclosure and Odesza on their US and Australian tours. He has also played at major Australian music festivals Splendour in the Grass and Groovin The Moo.His single “Something About You” was released in December 2014 and was certified gold in Australia and has been streamed over 68 million times.
Across 2016-17, James toured across Europe and North America and co-wrote a number of tracks for Katy Perry’s Witness album, as well as working on his own debut studio album.
Boy Mathews has also been an exciting talent and has largely been known for his collaboration with Duke Demont for ‘Ocean Drive’.
Summer of 2018 has seen Hayden take his eclectic live sets to Electric Forest in the US and Benicassim in Europe, as well as selling out shows in key cities including Melbourne, Perth, Brisbane and Sydney.
