Katy Perry’s Witness Tour has officially hit the U.S., and it’s not your average concert experience.
The pop icon kicked things off Thursday night at Houston’s Toyota Center, bringing not just her hits but a wild, interactive twist that lets fans shape the show in real time. That’s right, concertgoers get to scan a QR code that links to one of her seven studio albums and vote on a deep cut they want her to perform. So if you’ve been dying to hear that underrated track from Prism or Witness, now’s your chance to make it happen.
The interactive element doesn’t stop there. Katy’s also pulling fans up on stage, turning the night into more of a shared experience than a typical arena show. At her first tour stop in Mexico City last week, she even joked about a recent “trip to space” while posing with two fans in NASA suits. “They are dressed like my most current timeline,” she said, laughing as they snapped a selfie.
The current run of the Lifetimes Tour includes a massive 80-show lineup. After Houston, she’s making her way through more U.S. cities before heading to Australia in June. From there, she’s bouncing back to Canada and the U.S. for more North American dates through the summer. And she’s not stopping, Europe’s getting some love too, with the tour wrapping up in China and one final show in Abu Dhabi in December.
Katy’s busy schedule meant she had to skip the 2025 Met Gala, a rare absence for the red carpet regular. But she still gave fans something to laugh about on Instagram. On May 6, she posted an AI-generated pic that made it look like she’d attended the event, joking, “Couldn’t make it to the MET; I’m on The Lifetimes Tour (see you in Houston tomorrow IRL‼️).” She added that her mom was safe this year from being tricked by the fake pics because they were actually together. “But I’m praying for the rest of y’all,” she wrote.
And just two days after wrapping her Mexico shows, Perry was still out supporting fellow pop royalty. She was spotted at Lady Gaga’s concert in Mexico City and didn’t hold back on the praise. “The show was MAGNIFICENT! The dress! The sand! Every moment was the moment,” she gushed on her Instagram Stories. “So proud of you and grateful to grow up together, @ladygaga. Love you.”
Katy Perry’s Lifetimes Tour isn’t just a concert, it’s a choose-your-own-adventure party. If you’re lucky enough to grab a ticket, come ready to vote, scream, and maybe even dance on stage.
