Kelli-Leigh reveals her brand new solo single – Can’t Dance, featuring UK producer Art Bastian, released via her own independent label Music Core, today.

‘Can’t Dance’ is an emotionally charged pop dance future-classic, co-produced by Kelli-Leigh herself. The track is accompanied by a beautifully filmed contemporary dance video shot in Cape Town, to be revealed in due course.

‘Can’t Dance’ is the second solo track to be released by Kelli-Leigh, who is no stranger to the charts having provided vocals for the massive global smash hits ‘I Got U’ by Duke Dumont & Jax Jones and ‘I Wanna Feel’ by Second City. She has also co-written hits such as Low Steppa’s ‘Running’ and Duke Dumont’s ‘Be Here’. In 2017, Kelli-Leigh featured on ‘More Than Friends’ with James Hype, which became her first credited UK Top 10 hit – which still features heavily on daily radio rotation. Most recently, she joined forces with Warner artist Black Saint on the summer smash ‘Don’t Wreck My Holiday’, which is receiving strong weekly Dance Anthems support from BBC Radio 1, five weeks into its release.

Speaking about the new track, Kelli-Leigh said: “I’m so proud to be putting out ‘Can’t Dance’. It’s a fusion of styles with the ballad entry point building into a satisfying dance drop, balancing emotion and beats. I’ve co-produced the record and produced the entire campaign and visuals around the release, it’s very much a product of my creativity and the growth of me as a Solo artist.”

Originating from South London, Kelli-Leigh was raised on a diet of Whitney Houston and Prince. These influences can be heard in her vocals, and she remains one of the most sought after voices in pop music. She has performed several times on Radio 1 Live Lounge with Adele, Craig David, Blonde, Original Dodger, Jax Jones & Duke Dumont.

Kelli-Leigh started her own label as a way to release her music without having to wait and rely on major labels. “I looked at releasing via a label but a lot of the majors seem to be focussed mainly on male DJs and producers at the moment. I’d been told multiple times ‘it’s ‘harder to sell a female artist’ and so decided not to wait but start my campaign myself.”
