Last Goodbye

We all know the versatility in Ørjan Nilsen’s music production and have seen the album ‘Prism’ portray all that he’s got as a music producer. To prove the point, here’s a glimpse of his prowess in creating pop-sounding new single – The Last Goodbye, feat. Matluck, taken from the same album.

Beginning off with beautiful piano chords, which lead into the melodic transition, the track opens in a wonderful manner. Taken over by the soulful vocals next, it is rich and creates a huge upsurge of energy. The vocals loop into the very bright and thumping drop, making the track not only club ready, but also the big-stage performances. The track truly brings together pop music with progressive music and the Emmy award winner Matluck has made it all the more beautiful with his vocals. This one is certainly going to make its way into a lot of famous sets across the globe.

Ørjan said, “When I received a vocal demo from Matluck and his team, it was like love at first sight; it was so good I just had to produce it! And so I did! I can confidently say that this is one of the strongest productions I have ever made and I really hope everyone who listens to it can wholeheartedly agree.”

The Norwegian producer has grown to be a strong force in the industry over the years and has always innovated his music by venturing into fusing other genres with dance music. The release comes following the recently-ended Transmission Festival in China where he shared the stage along with revered acts like Aly & Fila, Andy Moor, BT and Purple Haze.

His first track with Armada Music came out way back in 2006 with ‘Red Woods’ which was released under his then alias, DJ Governor and today, he comes back on the same label with this beautiful track.

Hailing from Miami, Max Matluck (Lava/Kobalt) jump-started his songwriting career with sync placements in films like 22 Jump Street and Get Hard. Signed by Jason Flom, Max sings, raps, writes lyrics/melodies, & composes on both guitar and piano. Thanks to his ability to write in both English and Spanish, Max has shown a penchant for writing music across a wide range of genres. Having worked with artists like Mau Y Ricky, Karol G, Becky G, Felix Jaehn, Mike Williams, Jordan Smith & In Real Life, Max shows no signs of slowing down. “Mi Mala”, a song Max recently placed, has already surpassed 40 million streams since it’s release in October 2017. Due to the success of its predecessor, “Mi Mala Remix” was released 4 months later and additionally featured Becky G, Leslie Grace, & Lali Esposito. Since their respective releases, both songs have combined for over 65 million streams and gold status in multiple countries including the US.

This track is definitely for the ones who love to hear new blends and if you’re one of them, let us know what you think!
