Dutchie – Kitchen Wormhole [Available September 9]

The perfectly freaky London label that is Zombie Soundsystem is back with more dance floor baiting beats, this time in the form of an original by singular studio wizard Dutchie that comes with a fine remix from Felipe Kastegliano.

The essential original, brought to you by Right Nut Records’ bossman and Fump resident, is Kitchen Wormhole, an invitingly lumpy and mechanic house track with spooky synth lines, rattling drums and punchy bass. Dark vocals and subtle filters, as well as blasts of frazzled sub, all add up to a ghoulish and late night track that is sure to make floors sweat.

On the remix is Felipe Kastegliano, a UK star who is at home rocking Pacha and Ministry of Sound and many other London and European clubs. Currently FK is a resident for Sunday West, runs his club night MeTRO, EdiT, his own record label, Flat 7 Records and the label runs more intimate parties based in East London called ‘Kastegliano & Friends’. His version of the cut is full on wonky, with eerie synth lines, trip goals muttering in the background and a spritely bassline that is taught and upright.

This is a tight package of tech house that cannot fail to engage dancers and keep them locked.
