“Rewire”, the third track of Seth Hills’ Void EP is out on STMPD records and this generous serving of heavy groove is what every dance music fan craves for.
Seth hills announced his “Void EP” six weeks ago saying that he will be releasing one track every week and that the EP will consist of 4 records. The announcement came with the release of the title track “Void”, which marked a new and experimental phase for the Dutch prodigy.
Seth Hills has always put the best of his signature style out on the table and “Rewire” is no different. With his experimental style, Seth Hills explores a dark and grimy way of expressing music and in order to make that happen, he has implemented some clever production techniques that are rarely seen in the industry. “Rewire” Opens up with an ample amount of percussions and various drum patterns. To the listener’s surprise, the record does not depend on its melody to set the mood of the minute. Instead, it makes great use of dark atmospheres that are perfectly paired with more percussion and drum sections. The drop is where Seth truly shines. Heavy stabs, Dirty basslines and great fillers are the elements that make the track what it is. This tune’s sole purpose is to make people dance till they sweat their hearts out. Whether it be quarantine home dancefloors or recently reopened clubs across some parts of Europe and Asia, this track will get the playtime it deserves. With this being the third release, we wonder how thunderous the fourth and the final release will be. Only time will tell. By time, we mean three weeks of excruciating boredom, lazy eating and lots of music.
